My first day at JC went very well. My favorite part about the day was advisory, where I was able to spend a little bit of time getting to know the upperclassmen. Fortunately, someone was nice enough to bring in brownies. While I ate my brownie, I talked to my friend Lauren about what classes we had together. My least favorite part about today was Spanish class. In this class, I was very bored and found it very hard to listen to what Mrs. Michael was saying. I didn't really know anyone sitting near me and was surrounded by sophomores.

I really like where I am seated in class. I sit next to Alex and Charlotte. Although I am just getting to know Alex, she is very nice and is always willing to help. Charlotte and I went through elementry and middle school together and have remained very good friends.

Today is the first day of cyber school. I just finished my Biology homework and now I am on to my Western Civ blog. April is national poetry month! In this blog, Mr. Schick wanted us to write a poem about ancient Greece. I chose to write Haiku. They are short and fun. It is challenging to make sure that the correct amount of syllables are in each line, but I like writing them. Anyways, here are my Haiku. My essay question would be, "Describe the ways that Greek theater that has influenced today's movies, plays, and TV shows." In the intro paragraph, I would introduce my topic and some basic background on ancient Greek theater. I would introduce the ways that Greek theater has influenced today's movies, plays, and TV shows. In the first body paragraph, I would explain how Greek tragedies influence modern movies today. I would give an example or two. Next, for my second body paragraph, I would introduce comedies. I would describe how Greek comedies influence our TV shows today.
